The Outreach Department is the part of MLFC that focuses on being the arms and heart of Christ with the sole purpose of making Him more tangible to a lost and hurting world. Our goal is to have an effective presence in the community through scheduled outreach programs that draw people to Christ as well as mature those who participate.
Who can participate in outreach?
We believe that God has commissioned each one of us to bring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost. We, therefore, intend to impact and reach the community with acts of service and with the Word of God through carefully planned, scheduled outreach activities. Our goal is to have an effective presence in the community through regular outreach programs that will draw people to Christ. The primary vehicle we employ to do this, is through Connection Groups.
Aside from existing to reach out to the community and sharing Christ, we are also intentional about being a vehicle through which our church members mature in their relationship with Christ and put into effect the part of the Church’s mission that speaks of ‘Maturing Believers’. We believe that as we play a part in the wider population beyond our Church’s walls, we are able to bring about real change in those spaces and ultimately in the hearts of the participants.

Outreach is therefore a channel through which we grow into mature believers who are ‘others-centered’ rather than ‘self-centered’ people, who seek out ways to be a blessing to others by putting a smile on their faces and Christ in their hearts – what better mark of maturity to bear than this?!”
