The scriptural basis of child dedication is found in 1 Samuel 1:27-28: “For this boy I prayed, and the Lord has given me my petition which I have asked of Him. So I have also dedicated him to the Lord; as long as he lives he is dedicated.” (NASB) We do not practice water baptism of babies.

Child dedication is a public commitment you make before God, your church, and your family. The dedication service provides you, the parents, an opportunity to express publicly your desire to lead and spiritually nurture your child in cooperation with the Holy Spirit, so your child will develop a love for God and for others.

Please understand that dedication is not a sacrament; it cannot impart grace or salvation to your child. Salvation only comes as each person recognizes his or her sinful nature, and receives forgiveness and eternal life through Jesus Christ. As a church, we make a commitment to do everything we can to support you and your family as you fulfill the call of God upon your lives.

The next Child Dedication will take place on Sunday, 16 February. Please note that parents wishing to dedicate their children, both parents are required to go through a once-off Pre-Child Dedication Parents’ Class on Saturday, 8 February. Registration deadline was Tuesday, 28 January. Click here to register.

If you have already attended a Pre-Dedication Class, you do not need to attend the next one. However, in order to participate in the upcoming dedication, you still need to sign up your child. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Note that Child Dedication is open to members of Miracle Life Family Church ONLY.
